Leslie- Yes he does! He's had Terror for as long as he can remember, and cuz of it, his parents hated him, and abused him in all was thinkable, and everyone he met, got scared of him, hated him, and they, along with all of his family, forever branded him as a monster, so they sent him to a mental institution where he went insane from the isolation... I've been his only friend his entire life, and I've been the only one by his side his entire life! His mom and dad almost beat him to death one day cuz they hated him cuz of his symbiote!!... So yes, he has a very legit reason for why he was an asshole!.. He's been alone his entire life!!..
