Trello.com Files Not Loading

Are you having trouble loading your files into your game, and you uploaded it to trello?

Recently, we have discovered several users complaining that their trello links are not working. We investigated this matter and we found out that there is nothing wrong on our side so we suspected that Trello.com might have undergone some changes with their link.

For years, we have been recommending our users to use Trello to get an asset link so this change has caught us off-guarded. I know this news may sadden several of our old users who were familiar with using trello to get an asset link but we are helpless in this matter.

Therefore, instead of recommending another site that will be out of our control if something goes wrong, we rather recommend everyone upgrade to a premium visual novel so you can directly upload files to CloudNovel's cloud storage, so you don't need to worry about where to put your game files online. It is only $5, and doing so will help the CloudNovel staff continue working on CloudNovel, CloudAvatar, and CloudRPG game engines. Everyone's donations help the platform grow bigger and make everybody happy.

One of the biggest advantages upgrading to premium and using direct upload is if you accidentally deleted a bunch of images from the project library, you can contact me and I will try to restore it for you.

@MidZM Yeah, that's why we recommend upgrading to Premium because then your files will load for sure with no problems. Depending on other websites for hosting is a hassle, it's just easier to upgrade to Premium.

Just a note to everybody who uses Trello, please consider upgrading the CloudNovel premium and use the CloudNovel cloud storage instead of depending and abusing the free file uploads on Trello. I am sure that the reason that Trello started changing their links to something that prevents their files to be used in CloudNovel engine is because many files that are hosted on Trello.com used for CloudNovel have been draining Trello's bandwidth, and they are all coming from CloudNovel's website.

Everybody has a free trial of 100mb on CloudNovel, so I implore everyone to use it, and if you want more storage, please upgrade to our premium, and premium only costs one time payment of $5 (Trello charges $10 monthly subscription per month).

The more people use and abuse Trello's free file upload, eventually Trello will just ban their files entirely from the CloudNovel engine, then nobody will be able to use Trello anymore. I don't think anybody wants to have that happen. 

Our free premium trial gives you 100mb of storage space, please use it instead of depending on Trello as a third party hosting service, we can't abuse Trello for cloud storage because they have to pay their bills too, it's not fair and ethically wrong to just use their cloud storage without using their product for their intended purpose. 

Wait I am kinda confused. So where do we upload our files now that Trello isnt working and if you dont have money to spend on cloudnovel (I spent all my money on stocking up on food and such XD) Is there another webbsite that you can recommend?? 

@ChimChimJilly You can still upload files to trello, but we do not recommend it anymore. They have made it harder to get the actual URL link but it still possible to get it. We posted a way to bypass this and get the actual URL link, but we took it down after we realized it would be unethical to try and teach our users to use this trick to exploit another website's cloud storage.

As of right now, our best recommendation is to upgrade to premium and to use your free trial of CloudNovel premium game type. Everyone has a free trial, and most people don't even use their 100mb of storage.

@Sonya I've never heard of this free storage before? how do you enable the 100 mb storage?

@CATmetchu Just go to your dashboard, and click "upgrade" on your project you want to upgrade to premium, then you can use the cloud storage inside your project! :)

@Sonya I try to upgrade, but i dont see any free trial message on it. Instead, saying i need to buy points. May you help? :')

@Danekopa It looks like you already used your free trial for your premium visual novel. The only trial you have left that you didn't use is the premium dress up game.
