Day 3:
Today, we went to Naples. The third largest city in Italy and a place I know nothing about.

We took the High Speed Train to Naples and arrived at the Station Centre.

The sun looked deadly outside. So we picked up our courage and decided to walk to the old city centre instead of the metro.

Apparently, the streets in Naples are hard to read, so the map we got from the info booth is useless. Google maps saves the day.

As we walked down the streets of Naples, there's a really nice breeze that blows by. It made our walk very pleasant. Actually a bit more bearable than Rome.

Since, we don't know anything about the city except the fact that it has a lot of Greek and Spanish influences, we just went to places that a travel blog post talked about.

However, the view of Naple bay is lovely. But for me, I was too worried about the sun and my sister's sunburnt toes. But I got to see the Volcano, Mt Vesuvius, which is cool.

We then had lunch, not without the famous Napolian Margherita Pizza! It was delicious.

I personally find Naples an extraordinary place to look at. It feels cosy because the roads are narrow and the buildings are very close to each other. I think Naples has its own vibe. It's like half thug (some parts look sketchy) and half touristy. Nevertheless, it's a nice city to have a visit, though it's not possible to explore it in one day.

So, we walked through to the city centre and my sister had a brilliant idea to wander off to a much smaller street. So off we went and the further we walked, the sketcher the place became. I grew nervous while my sister was having the time of her life. We end up walking back to the main shopping street.

We heard there was a cafe that sells good Sfogliatelle ( Naples's delicacy) and Almond coffee, however, we walked and walked and the cafe couldn't be found. So we gave up.

As the day passed by, we began to grow tried though we enjoyed the sea breeze. We have to return back to Rome.

I am sure there are more nice things in Naples that I haven't seen. If I can visit Italy again, I would definitely look more into Naples and the other islands nearby as well.

So now for extra photos, and as Fluff requested, with weird angles:

Tomorrow, we are going to Florence! Home of Michelangelo, Leonardo (he's from Vinci, so "Florentine artist"), and Botticelli.etc.
 Until then, Ciao~

Day 4:

Today was a super tiring day. Today went took the high speed train to Florence.

When we got to Florence, we checked in to our hotel and decided to have lunch at a nearby market.

It was huge and there were a lot of people. After that, we decided to walk around the city. We looked at the Duomo. It is still beautiful as ever. Then we walked to the Piazza Vecchio to look that the sculptures by the public spaces.

I've actually been to Florence before and that was before I began to take Art history classes. So now that I get to see these wonderful piece of art with much more context and appreciation, I feel like I can die happy.

At one point, we were crossing over River Arno, my sister suggest we go to the Piazza Michelangelo.

I was stupid enough to say yes.

The incline was insane, along with the summer heat. I thought to myself, "this is a mistake"

Once I reached to the top, I immediately took my statement back. The hardship of walking up the hill and stairs, made me appreciate the view of the entire city even more.

At the same time, my sister revealed she forgot to put sunscreen on her toes so they were getting burned. We decided to walk to Ponte Vecchio. There were a lot of people and a number jewelry stores. Though, I am not interested, it does give a nice vibe.

The rest of afternoon, IDK what happened because I was getting very tried and my sister made us walk a long way to the outskirts of the city.

We end up walking back to the other side of Florence to have dinner. At one point, birds began to come by.
Girl-

These birds are viscous!

They stole our pasta. No matter how many times I shooed them away they kept coming back. It scared my sister, so we quickly left and walked back to our hotel. Not before getting sone gelato!

Extra Photos and weird angles:

Until then, ciao~

Day 5:
Today was a rather chill day because yesterday we already walked through most of Florence.

We went to see the Statue of David. The real one in the Galleria della Academia (idk is this the correct name). The long took so long! We waited in total about 2 hour to get in! There were just a lot people.

However, once we got in and bought the tickets, we saw the beautiful David, it was all worth the wait.

In the gallery, there were other works of art too.

At one point we looked at the Medici's music instrument collection.

After that, we decided to have lunch before going to the Uffizi Gallery. Since, by the time we were done with Galleria dell Academia, it's already around 2pm.

So we got to the Uffizi and went to collect our reserved tickets.

However, Melmel here made a huge mistake! I reserved the tickets from tomorrow instead of today! So we have to pay a little extra to get the tickets for today.

The gallery is full of many great works of art, and I felt like I went to heaven. God bless. 🙌🙌🙌

I got to see Botticelli, Caravaggio, and so many more other works. At one point, my sister and I found a painting that looks kinda like Kenau Reeves.

So far, I could only show these images as they are most appropriate ones. A lot of other picutures have (partial) nudity.
I am not sure would the mods like that. So, here's a pic of a canolli. :)

Tomorrow is my last day in Florence before I head back to Rome. Until then, Ciao~

Day 6:
Today is our final day in Florence. We packed up our stuff and went to the train station.
We droped off our luggage and decided to visit the Bobbli Garden in the Palazzo Pitti before heading back to Rome. Today was all about chill and souvenir shopping as our trip now has come to an end.

I wish I could show you guys the photos I took, but because today we almost had nothing to do, it's kinda boring. So for this post I am not going to have images. However, once I arrive home, I will make a new post to showcase other photos I took thay didn't make it to the "blogs"

It was a lovely trip and a nice break.
Until next time, somewhere in thr world~

MelMel said: The Arrival:
so… things weren't going well as planned.

Our flight got delayed 4 times. So it really pushed us to a tight schdule. We need to fly to Amsterdam then transfer to a flight to Rome.

Becuse the timings were pushed back, we became super stressed because out accommodation closes its check in at 12 am. We fear that once we landed in Rome, we wouldn't make it on time with so much delay.

The flight to Amsterdam wasn't comfortable and it was a very tense flight because, me and my sister kept check the landing time and caucalating the other timings.

So once we landed in Amsteedam, we rushed through the immigration and baggage check mutuelle TNS. Ran to the gate where the last batch of people were boarding the plane.

At this point it was 8:30pm and we took off about 10-to. We were super tried and the fact that we finally made it to Italy, we decided to pat ourselves on the back.

However…

Our luggage did not make it to the tranfer flight so they are still in Amsterdam somewhere. 😶😶

So we went to the hotel luggageless (we reported it ofc) and now here I am thinking about what did I just experience.

It was a chain of stress and tense situations. However, I am lucky enough to travel with my sister, at least we have each other's backs or I'll bawl my eyes out.

I am writing this 5 to 1 am EST. I need some sleep.
Thank you for hearing me ramble about this half awake. Idk if I made any mistakes. O well.

Good night!

Edited: June 14th.

You are very brave at what I see. In any case, enjoy your stay.
