Another week has gone and past, and it's time again for our weekly update! Sonya is taking a break as she is helping our users with their entries in the Fairytale Jam, our summer 2023 game jam or contest. A few new resources have also been added this week, and also the roleplaying forums are now open again.

Other than that, Cybunny is still on break. I am the substitute PR moderator for the meantime!

If you are writing or making your game just for the pleasure of building it, then this blog post is probably not for you. It is everyone’s inalienable right to just sail down the river of creativity and enjoy haphazardly writing or drawing, adding to your ‘project’. Good luck with that.


However. If you want to build a professional quality game, there are certain boring bits you’ll have to deal with. It involves a lot of preparation and planning. Stuff that takes all the fun from the simple joy of writing and seeing where it takes you.So, before writing you need to build the structure of your story. Why? For players to have fun, they want their choices to matter, to make a difference in the game world. This means that each choice needs carefully constructed episode that leads to them. Sequence of episodes takes story to different directions, and that is a structure. It can quickly get out of hand if you don’t lay at least some sort of plan.

Sonya's Twitch Schedule

Hello everyone, last week Sonya couldn't do any streaming (we are so sorry) so this week we are trying again with a 2-day streaming schedule. As for whether or not we will be able to go back to a normal 5 day a week streaming schedule, it looks like we are going to stick with 1-2 days streaming per week. Sonya is trying to get back into the rhythm of a normal sleep schedule, so this might be the best schedule moving forward.

Sonya's Development Update

Hello everyone, this week wasn't too productive as I became focused on other things in my career, as well as getting back to a normal sleep schedule. Software wise, not many things were accomplished this week, and there weren't that many bugs to fix, just little things here and there.

That's all I have for now guys, sorry for the lack of any updates!

This is our weekly newsletter section showcasing all of Sonya's favorite things from her apartment, new and old. Every week, she will share a few items that she uses in her everyday life, just like a closet or apartment tour!

1. Heart Purse
   Sonya bought an "ita" purse on Etsy once that she uses frequently with pink themed accessories. This was her first ita purse, or purses with an open window for displaying enamel pin collections, and she's had it for a few years.
   
   
2. Rococo Dog Bowl
   When Sonya got her first puppy, her Saluki dog named Rapunzel, she bought these super cute dog bowls for her dog to use. 
   
   
3. French Cat Dish
   When Sonya got her first pet, her cat Snow White, she bought a cute dish for serving treats for her favorite pet cat. Snow White loves eating delicious treats from it every day.
