I've just started experimenting with flags and text in the visual novel settings. I've watched the tutorial on Youtube 3...maybe 4 times. I think I have done everything right. It has taken me days to get everything working and now I've hit a roadblock, I can't seem to understand why this won't work. If I made a mistake earlier on or what? The features of Cloud Novel are a little different now than when the video was recorded. I can definitely see that. Is it maybe possible I missed a step that wasn't shown in the video? I've thought of everything I could have possibly done to make it flake.  It shows that the flags are changing in numerical value when I play through the scene, but when I check the screen, the numbers are exactly the same as I inputted them at the very start. This is very tiresome. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When you edit the scene or screen the flags are set as the default value. This is done on purpose. This is why in the preview tab, it is the real game where you can test the flags. When you edit it in scene or screen, it resets to the default value.

@Sonya

It still is not showing a change in value in preview. I've changed multiple characters. I've also made sure I saved the story.

@WhoIsKandQ You are not using the flag values, for example:

Bashir:65 <span data-flag=”Bashir”></span>
You manually put a number there, and you are not using the right quotation marks.

It is supposed to be Bashir: <span data-flag="Bashir"></span> not Bashir:65 <span data-flag=”Bashir”></span>, the one you are using is not a real quotation mark.

Just retype the quotation marks and it'll be working.

Just look in your library in the text assets at the "Bashir" text, I already fixed that one for you.

Here is your library: https://cloudnovel.net/project/visualnovel/library/Ok0RowywJSbX9XDnbh
Wow...it was that simple. I figured it must be something like that. Thank you.
