Daniel Erickson:
Last not but not least is Daniel, arguably the only mature adult in town. Daniel is not some 18-year old boy. No no no, he's a MAN! In my personal opinion Daniel's design is my least favourite. He was meant to be that older almost "daddy" aesthetic (lol do people even still say Daddy XD) but the artstyle is pretty limited when it comes to body proportions. Anyway Daniel is the father of the town and he's the happiest person there is. But is his whole façade fake? What is really going on with him? 

Anyway that's pretty much all the love interests. I was planning on explaining a little bit more about the MC (Jesse) but the demo pretty much covers that up. I might not post again until the demo is out so I'll try getting it out as soon as possible...okay bye!

Hello fellow simps, I hope everyone's Christmas (or whatever you celebrate) is going well.

Country Love Story will be coming out sometime next week (lol idk I never have a real date for it to come out so I'm just going with the flow rn) I've finished up the first part of the demo, but tbh there's some left to be desired. I'm a real amateur at creating visual novels but I am quite proud of the VN so far. But like I said, there's some aspects that are left to be desired (e.g the Main Menu is boring, the game is too short for a demo etc.) I want to improve those aspects later down the line. I just needed some advice with something:


I know, it's so BORING! This is meant to be the cover for Country Love Story, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. I like the fact that it's simple cuz that kinda matches the simplicity of the game but I also find it boring and people might not get interested. This is what my old one looked like:


It has a lot more going on but I'm not sure if it just looks weird. Which one do you think looks better? (sorry for always asking questions; I just want to improve the quality of the VN) Or should I just make a whole new cover? And if so, what would you like to see in the cover. Okay thank you!

Updates might be a little slow for the first few months cuz I'm working on another visual novel (Because apparently I can't work on one thing at a time XD) So what did you think so far?? So if you look at my male love interests posts, you can see that one of them is named Daniel. I mentioned that his design was by far my least favourite because compared to the others, he just looked very bland. But with the help of my zero fashion sense and long nights crying myself to sleep, I finally made Daniel Erickson have at least some personality in his appearance. More than I'll ever have at least...


To be honest he's not that different from the original but he did get some upgrades in his wardrobe. Originally he was meant to be this buff Daddy kind of dude but hey, dorky dads need more love. Yeah so that's pretty much it...okay bye

Hello everyone, this is just a quick update on the schedule of Country Love Story

I haven't really updated since I released the game and I am working on the next part. But since you have the option to choose Jesse's gender, that means I have to make a male and a female version of the scenes which means there's a lot of extra work. Especially considering the fact that school has started up and I need to focus on my education. I'm really sorry that I can't regularly update :'(
 
BUT

I have been working on another visual novel. I actually started working on this one even before I thought of Country Love Story. About a year ago I posted my first visual novel "Lotus Mansion" but I eventually deleted it for a number of reasons. But it's BACK baby and now it is called "The Rose Mary Mansion." This VN is a lot simpler and easier to make so it will come out soon (I might even make my own separate Discus your visual novel thread) So yeah...
Also someone suggested I give the player the ability to name Jesse themselves so that update will happen any day now. Thank you all so much for supporting this game <3

So it's been a bit of time since I last published. I do feel a little bad and would like to apologize, but I promise that it's worth the wait. I've made a few adjustments to the game to up the quality a little bit. As you know Jesse's name is now changeable because it was a suggestion and I thought it was a good one. It's not released yet, but I changed the font and colour of the original text and the textbox. As much as I loved the original textbox, it just didn't match the country aesthetic. So here's the new one!
 


I think it fits so much better. This textbox is somewhere on the CloudNovel resource gallery and I'll add the creator when it's officially added. That's all I wanted to say

So I know Country Love Story hasn't been updated in awhile. I am but a humble procrastinator writer so I want to make the game the best way I can. But in the meantime, I'd like to you show I've been up to. Recently I've asked a fellow CloudNovelist, @ThatOtaku | CloudNovel 
for some help with the cover and title for the game. Here it is!


Pretty neat, right? Hopefully they will also consider helping me with some GUI. I've also been looking for new backgrounds, getting all the sprites done, creating a new settings screen and changing some dialogue as well as creating the new next scene. I hope I can justify myself a little more about being behind on updates. I'll make sure to get it out as soon as possible. I also have a question. I have only implemented 3 love interests instead of the 6, so should release it with the 3 love interests or wait a bit longer until all of them are in?

Sorry for the long wait, but the next part of Country Love Story is officially out! The first three love interests were introduced in this update so hopefully the next three out soon. But they will probably won't come out until the judging of the Valentine's Jam because I want to earn enough points to upgrade the VN to premium. Country Love Story is going on a slight hiatus for now. Don't worry, I will continue developing the game, but as much as I love the game, I've been experiencing a little bit of burnout. I am not really used to making long complicated games and making male and female versions of all the scenes. It becomes a little tedious and I've realized I should take a short break, at least until the Valentine's Jam ends. Plus I've decided to work on another visual novel along side Country Love Story named Monster Incorporations. I made a separate thread a few minutes ago. I hope everyone enjoys their day further and thank you for reading
