 Introduction:
Water, Fire, Earth, Wind. All four are very classical elements, with the subs being different versions of the elements. Chi is the life-force energy that all humans have, this can be used to manipulate the elements around the humans. The 3 leaders, or known as the 3-Wise. They are known to be the strongest and most intelligent, They rouge-users are rouge element users who left their country and decided to live in the shadows and fight for evil or not the good. The three leaders, Nakashi, Hiro, Ichika. Nakashi, the brute of the three. He is the strongest and an Earth user, he doesn't hesitate to fight as the last resort, and there's Hiro, a prodigy, the brains of the group. He may not have the physical power, but he certainly does have the fire-arm. Yep, he's a fire-user. Nakishi and Hiro get along, but he's more of a.. wuss, but then we have Ichika. The speed of the group, her god-like speeds are absurd. Ichika is also a very calm individual, she doesn't get along well with Nakashi. But, speed beats strength am I right? For a wind user, she's pretty strong. All of them are in their 30s, but damn do they not look like it. Then there's me, I am Tatsumi. An average 17-year-old boy who can use the element fire, or so I thought. My life was going to change dramatically in a few days, and I wouldn't even know it.

Prologue:
Tatsumi was walking to school with his childhood friend, Josuke. They were both in their last year, they were thinking about dropping out after high school. Josuke was always better than Tatsumi in terms of speed, strength, and intel. But, one thing Tatsumi was better at, was controlling his element. They never really fought, and if they did, it had a good reason. Tatsumi noticed that Josuke was more quiet than usual. He looked to him and rose an eyebrow, "Josuke? You alright?" He asked, Josuke nodded. "Yes.. I'm fine." He said with a raspy and silent voice. "Something happens at the house?" Tatsumi asked, Josuke shook his head no. "Okay.. We'll talk after lunch, 'Kay?" He replied, Josuke shook his head no. "There will be no time for you." He said, Josuke went into his bag and grabbed a rock, he sighed. He threw the rock up "Wood Chi: Drilling Attack..." Josuke said quietly, Tatsumi's eyes widened and it boomed to him, his chest was pierced and blood immediately came out and he coughed blood. He fell on his knees and he looked up, his mind full of thoughts. Josuke's blood-red unfazed and emotionless eyes stared at him. The rock fell in his open hand. "W-why?!" Tatsumi yelled in pain, Josuke sighed looking down. Tatsumi held his bleeding chest and coughed as his head slowly fell down. His eyes closed and his groans and signs of struggling to live went away. Josuke crushed the rock easily to dust, he turned away and closed his eyes, he took a breath of air and exhaled. "You'd get too powerful, that wouldn't help the operation," Josuke said quietly. He walked away, 20 minutes later, Tatsumi's vision was blurry. A miracle, he somehow gained consciousness. He was on a carrier, multiple doctors running him to the ambulance. He was confused, he was sure he died. He spat blood into his oxygen mask, the doctors looked down as he was rushed into the truck. "Ah! You're alive! What's your name hun?" The female doctor asked, "I-I'm Tatsumi.." He said silently. "Tatsumi, okay. Any family members?" She replied. "I- yes, they're.. pretty.. far.." He said, closing his eyes and opening them slowly. "Beautiful, do you have any idea of who did this to you?" The doctor asked. "Mmm.. M-.." He uttered, his eyes widened and he boomed up.

Chapter One: Getting Used To Things
He looked around, he was in the hospital? He laid down with his hand on his head, he noticed there was pulse oximetry on his finger. He looked at the clock and saw it was 9:30. He looked to his side and saw his mom, she was sleeping and he sighed. At the cafeteria, he had his gown on and he was eating some soup. Tatsumi looked up and saw the news, some killer has been going around killing fire-users and water-users. The unknown person never left any tracks, no signs of rock, water, or fire have been seen. Tatsumi thought about it, Josuke killed him and explained that he'd be a nuisance to the.. operation? He shook his head, no way Josuke had anything to do with this. He coughed, looking up Tatsumi listened to the news. He was shocked by all of the news he was getting, how long was he out?! He got up and threw away his lunch, having only eaten 1/3 of it, he knew he'd become hungry sometime soon. He walked to his hospital room, but in the corner of his eyes he saw a big muscular figure, the figure was about 6'10" and had dark skin, his eyes were covered with a black rag that only covered his face, his hair was all black and short with little hints of bright yellow at the end, he wore all-black clothing with his neck to his waist showing. He had his arms folded, he also had a container behind him. Tatsumi shook his head, he needed to regain his strength and focus on finding out how long it'll take for him to recover. He met up with his mother and she explained the situation in sign language, he nodded and looked to the bathroom. He smirked, he ran to it and opened the light. He lit up his finger with fire. He ripped off his gown's chest piece and put his finger to the wound, it began to seal. He grunted and bit his lip to prevent noise. Once he felt that it was fully sealed, he pulled away from his finger and fell on his knees. He was huffing, he looked up and rose. Looking at the mirror, he had a plan.. He wanted to get Josuke and learn about this operation. He looked back to the door opening, his mother looked at him and quickly realized that the chest piece was off. She ran to him and grabbed it, "Mom! I'm fine!" He yelled, his mother was mute, he looked at her and showed her his wound. "S-See?! I'm alright, it healed.." He said, looking away his mother's eyes widened. She looked at Tatsumi and he nodded, "Y-yes.. I did, it'll give me a faster recovery.. Can I go rest now?" He asked, his mother sighed in anger, see, his mother was a water-controller so she made a tiny droplet of water and headed it to his chest, it evaporated in seconds and it hurt Tatsumi but soon, it stopped hurting. She got out of the bathroom after saying "Get better Mijo." And allowed him to rest. Two days later, Tatsumi fully gained his strength again. This was the moment of truth, he'd leave the hospital in a month according to the doctors. Now time to go see who that guy was, Tatsumi walked out of his hospital room and the guy was standing exactly where he was last time. He walked to him and waved his hand, Tatsumi was only 5'8" so this guy was pretty tall compared to him. "Uh.. Hello? I'm Tatsumi, you?" He asked, the guy looked at him and sighed. "I'm Nakashi Hatomoto, age 33 and I'm the protector of this place," He said, giving Tatsumi some unwanted information but whatever. Tatsumi then heard the name Nakashi once again, his eyes widened. "Woah! As in Nakashi from the 3-wise?!" He yelled, he nodded. "Yeah, got a problem with it kiddo?" He said, Tatsumi shook his head no quickly. He looked behind Nakashi and saw the container, it had a katana in it. "Is that a katana?" He asked, Nakashi looked behind him and shook his head no. "No, it's what you call.. a Chokuto," He said, Tatsumi eyes sparkled. "Can I touch it?!" He asked. Nakashi rose an eyebrow, "Can you?" He asked, "Uh.. yes?" Tatsumi said. He went to the Chokuto and as he was about to grab it, Nakashi grabbed his hand. "No, sorry for not making it obvious. You'd have to make me get on at least one knee to allow you to uplift it. And if you want to own it.. You'd have to bring me down." Nakashi said with a serious voice. Tatsumi gulped, Nakashi was known to never hold back. He looked silently at Nakashi."Wanna bet on that?" He asked, Nakashi was surprised but he smirked. His arm lit up with firey fiery, Tatsumi's arm exploded with fire and he threw it at Nakashi's chest. It hit, but Nakashi didn't move, in fact, he didn't even flinch. And within a blink of an eye, Nakashi was seen swinging his hand, no not in a fist but a flat hand. He slapped Tatsumi, in moments of notice Tatsumi was blown back several meters, everything around him was pushed back to the right or left. He was boomed out of the wall into the ground. Nakashi blew 1/6 of the hospital with a single slap. And Tatsumi was out, he wasn't even moving. Nakashi walked up to Tatsumi, grabbed him, and walked him back to his bed. His mother was visibly worried but trusted Nakashi. After a few minutes, Tatsumi's eyes began to open. "A-ah.. what.. what happened..?" He said Nakashi was standing next to him. "That was only 2% of my power, I could've blown this building to smithereens if I wanted to." He explained, Tatsumi's eyes widened. "What could happen if you went 100?" He asked sitting up. "At least, I could destroy a mountain the size of Everest," Nakashi said. Tatsumi was shocked, he could barely explode a wall! Nakashi sat next to him and smirked. "Let's talk about how you could get strong enough to even survive out here once more," He said, Tatsumi nodded with excitement. Somewhere far away, in a 5 story building. A shadow was seen entering, the dark night hid him. He made it to the 5th floor and was wearing a hoodie. "Alright, I'm here. Took a couple of days to get here, but I'm here" They said, the female eyes opened slowly. "Josuke, did you kill Tatsumi?" She asked, Josuke nodded. "Good.. As a wind-bender, I could've taken out my friends, but I'm going to let them mourn the deaths of their families first" She said, "That's a bit harsh ma'am" He said, She chuckled. "Don't make opinions around me Josuke" She said, He nodded and turned. "I'll be going now," He said. "Alright then, see you," She said, Josuke walked to the door to the room and opened it. Walking out he jumped down the middle part and landed, safely. He walked out of the building and sighed. "Next on the list.. huh? Nothing? Maybe it's on the back, launch an attack on the hospital..?" Josuke said quietly, he was shocked. Did she really want that?! He sighed in somewhat sadness and left as the dark mist hid him once again.

Chapter 2: A Unpleasant Appearance
Tatsumi was sleeping in his head, his mother looked at him and smiled. It was midnight and mostly everyone was asleep. Not Nakashi though, his lunch break which is at 5:30, he sleeps for the hour he gets as the break but eats before. She coughed a bit, she didn't have a drink for dinner so a bit of food was stuck in her throat. She went to the water dispenser and drank some water. She went back and sat back on the chair, she closed her eyes and went to sleep. In the morning, Tatsumi yawned as he woke up. He shifted up and looked around. The clock was ticking, the sun was rising. Perfect day to relax, but.. He really wanted that Chokuto. Plus, Nakashi was basically his teacher now. He walked to the field. Looking at Nakashi. "Sensei, I'd like to train." He said. "Tatsumi, do you even know how to suppress your flames?" He asked. "N-No..?" He answered. "Sigh, Only Hiro could show you how to do that," Nakashi said to put his hand on his nose. "Alright, fine. C'mon." He said They began fighting, Tatsumi was quick and agile, Tatsumi punched Nakashi in the face, nothing, he slid down and dodged the punch, he shot his leg with a burst of flames at Nakashi's leg, nothing. Nakashi grabbed his hand and threw him to the side. He boomed at Tatsumi in a millisecond, he punched him downwards, causing the ground to break. Tatsumi was fine however, he wrapped himself around Nakashi and bursted flames all around him. Nakashi grunted, he nearly fell on his knee but he slammed his fist close, 2 big boulders slammed on his hand. Slamming Tatsumi on the ground. "Gnn..'" He groaned. "You'll be fine." He said. Tatsumi was dragged by Nakashi to the lunchroom. "Oh, they're still repairing that wall?" Tatsumi said. "Yeah, it's been 4 days," Nakashi said. As Nakashi left, Tatsumi kept eating until he heard a boom, and then he saw a red light by the entrance, he decided to walk over to the entrance. His eyes widened, "H-Holy.." He backed up in fear, a meoter that was 50 meters tall and wide was aiming for the hospital. Tatsumi looked up and.. "J..Josuke?!" He yelled.  Josuke looked down and saw the scared and surprised male. Josuke quickly vanished. Tatsumi chased after him, He blew himself up to the air with his flames, he caught up to Josuke and tackled him. They both fell down, Josuke punched Tatsumi and slammed him to the side, and threw his fist to the ground, Tatsumi rolled over and jumped away, Josuke looked up and saw him. He boomed at Tatsumi, Tatsumi lit his fist with flames and blocked the punch. Josuke dodged a punch Tatsumi threw, Josuke dunked and kicked Tatsumi upwards, as they fought angrily. Josuke then backed up and Tatsumi uttered a few words, "Why..! WHY WOULD YOU BETRAY US!?" He yelled out, Josuke felt a burn in his heart, he wanted to yell and wail out but he continued to fight the crying and angry male, after Josuke had Tatsumi in an arm-lock, Josuke had then smirked, "Once again.. Wood Chi: Drilling Attack." He said, a thing of rock boomed at Tatsumi again, Josuke had escaped, this time, Tatsumi blocked it his arm was bleeding. "Gn..! The meotor!" He thought, he ran to it and stood in front of it. "I hope this works.. FIRE CHI: BURSTING FLAME!!!" He yelled, then.. In literal picoseconds, Nakashi appeared in front of him, The meoter was just a few meters from the hospital. "Sigh, 3 times this month." He said quietly. He threw back his fist and yelled, "EARTH CHI: CHI BURST!" He yelled, his hair lit up and he had a green tint. He threw it forward and the meoter exploded into millions of pieces, Tatsumi blinked and it was gone. "Wha.." He said quietly. "Tatsumi, you showed bravery today.." He said, "Not many people do."  Nakashi continued. "You've earned it, the Chokuto. You've proved you earned it." He said, putting his hand on Tatsumi's shoulder, but his mind was filled, sure the Chokuto was a great advancement.. But, with Josuke.. "I.. Saw.. Josuke." He said. "Josuke? That guy who quotes on quote killed you?" He asked. "Yeah.. He sent the meoter." Tatsumi continued. "Let's talk about it inside," Nakashi said. Tatsumi followed. Meanwhile, with the unknown and Josuke, he walked back to the top floor and looked to the unknown, almost seeming like he wanted to kill them, "Did you do it..?" They asked, "I did.. I.." He said, "Do not fret, it was for the power of the organization." They said, holding his shoulder, "I.. I know, but.. I.. I had to kill him twice." Josuke said looking up, "Who..?" They asked, "Tatsumi, he survived the first time, but, he took the hit for the hospital, I do believe he's dead for good now." Josuke remarked, "He better." They answered back a bit aggressively. "So, Nakashi is still alive then?" They asked, "Yeah.." He answered, "Oh well, I'll just have to come back, and kill him next time myself." They said, smirking into the darkness.

Chapter Three: Acceptance
When he followed inside, Nakashi sat him down in his office. "So, Josuke, you know him." He said, wanting to clarify it. "Yes, childhood. He told me when he tried to kill me, That I was going to be an annoyance to an operation he was in. I have no idea what it meant though.." He said. Nakashi put his hand on Tatsumi's shoulder, "Do you think Josuke is linked to the group of people killing the elemental users of the world?" He asked. "I.. I.. I don't know." Tatsumi answered looking down. "Very well. You're free to leave." He said. "He's too stubborn to accept it." Nakashi thought. Tatsumi had walked out of the office, he dropped down onto a chair, "Man.. Josuke.." He said grabbing a locket he had on his wrist, it was a picture of Josuke and Tatsumi doing peace signs, smiling. He looked down, distressed. He got up as his mother approached him, "Mom..?" He said she nodded, "Do you think Josuke was a fake friend..?" He asked her, she looked down and began to shake her head no. "I.. I thought so too." He answered, walking away. He looked over to his hospital room and walked into it, sitting on his bed, and looked down, "Sigh.. Josuke.." He thought it hurt him so bad because Josuke and Tatsumi were friends from day 1, they went to the same schools, the same hospital, heck.. Josuke even gave Tatsumi one of his kidneys before. Tatsumi breathed in and breathed out. He got up and walked to the hospital entrance, grabbed his coat on the stand, and walked out, "Where'd ya headed?" Nakashi said appearing behind him, "Somewhere." Tatsumi said, he left the hospital and went over to the seas, it was called.. The blood sea, where all the blood of the hurt was spilled. He looked down, it was red as roses, he stuck his hand into it and put some on his face, "M.." He uttered, he got up and looked at the water, as it flowed, and as it went past one wave and turned into another, he smiled. Maybe, losing Josuke wasn't so bad. He sat down and stared into the distance, he looked up to the airs, and flinched as something touched him, "So, the blood sea is what you meant as in 'Somewhere.' " Nakashi said, sitting next to him, "Have you gone here before..?" Tatsumi asked, "No, not personally. But Hiro has, he had a bad childhood so things like this helped him." Nakashi answered, "Oh.. I've always wondered.. You always talk about Hiro, but not Ichika. Why is that..?" Tatsumi quested, Nakashi seemed to pause his body at the question but relaxed and answered, "Well, Ichika hasn't been around the station lately, she comes once about every 2 weeks, she always askin' us questions, about like where we've been, anything new in our personal time, and so on. It seems like she's collectin' data or something, but she is the filer and data collector of our team, it just seems weird that it's about us." Nakashi said giving a long and detailed answer, "Oh, wow.. Well, I'm pretty sure she's busy and just wants to check on you guys..!" Tatsumi said smiling, completely forgetting about Josuke. "Yeah, maybe." Nakashi said, looking into the distance with Tatsumi, about two hours passed until Nakashi got up and left. Tatsumi stayed, stuck in the times and memories of his past, including Josuke in most, as he was a big part of Tatsumi's childhood, he looked down after any hours of not getting a glimpse of anything else. He got up and looked at the waters, he hadn't said a single word in hours, the silence itself was enough to explain what he was feeling, it was like emptiness was his only friends and family. He sighed and got up, walking back to the hospital, he stopped as he saw a couple argue, "WHY..! I TRUSTED YOU!!" One yelled, another yelled back "I.. I JUST FELT.. UNNEEDED!", "I LOVED YOU AND YOU GO AND... CHEAT?!" The male yelled back, Tatsumi realized, that was like he and Josuke, Tatsumi trusted Josuke, Tatsumi felt like he was dropped in the dump like he was unneeded, and.. Tatsumi loved Josuke as a friend, he felt like Josuke went and cheated him off with something else that required him dead. A lot has happened in that argument. The couple just wounded up and broke apart, tears streamed down Tatsumi's eyes. The feeling of not being loved, not cared for, being dropped like trash, it's the only feelings someone truly broken can feel, it hurts not only the mind but the soul too. Tatsumi forgotten how sad and terrible it was to be forgotten itself. he continued his descent to the hospital, he walked inside, it just hit 9:30. He walked to his hospital room and looked at his mother, who was asleep. He smiled and went onto his bed, slowly falling into a deep slumber. It felt like.. Tatsumi said finally seeing that.. Josuke isn't going to come back, and he just had to.. Accept it.

Okay, so NOTES!:

1: What I've been waiting to write while I was publishing these chapters is.. From the prologue to Chap. 2, was my old skill level, I dropped this novel is about... Maybe May? I just now started writing in it again, and now.. I finished chapter three.

2: For Chap. 1, I wanted there to be more of a feeling on how the chapters were going to be for the first arc, the first arc is called The Betrayal Arc, by the way. Anyways.. I wanted to address some important characters and such.

3: For Chap. 2, I wanted the reason for the arc to realllyyy hit, because now it shows Josuke really meant and wanted to kill Tatsumi.

3: Chapter 3.. A.. Definitely my favorite chapter, it's just.. When I first made chapter 3, I wanted there to be like Tatsumi crying, and then looking up to the sky and accepting he and Josuke were now enemies, I didn't mean to make it so.. Mental. And, it really hit me when I reread it because I didn't realize how deep I made it. I added small bits of important stuff in the chapter too, so legit, just anything said in the chapter, make sure to remember.
