These guidelines are for the Point Payouts

The points to money exchange feature on Cloudnovel is still in its Beta testing phase, the rules and guidelines will be subject to change.

  1. The conversion rate from points to money are 1000 points to $1 (USD) [conversion rate is subject to change in the future]
  2. Only points that are earned from in game transactions and resources can be withdrawn and transferred into money.
    1. CN charges a transaction fee for in game transactions and resources. CN will charge 30% for visual novel in-game transactions, 25% for resources, and 15% for dress up games.
  3. Points that come from doing surveys or game jams cannot be transferred into money.
  4. Your account must be at least 3 months old to use this feature.
  5. Currently CloudNovel only supports PayPal accounts. We DO NOT have acess to any of your account information except for your email.
  6. CloudNovel will check each transaction, and if the transaction does not obey the guidelines above it will be disapproved. Your points will be refunded to you and you will receive a message on the reason of disapproval.
  7. If we make a mistake in the transaction approval process, please kindly let our staff know through the ‘Help’ button at the top of the page.
  8. Users who try to go around the system and withdraw points by looking for loopholes will be banned.

Of course, this means we will check that the in game purchases from your game is completely legal. What we mean by that is the following:

  1. Your game must be completely original. You cannot make a game about Spongebob or Five Nights at Freddy's because you do not own the copyright of Spongebob or Five Nights at Freddy's. Only original games are allowed to have in game purchases.
  2. If you do use resources that are not your own, such as music or sound effects from royalty free websites, you must make sure you have full permission for commercial use.

This is all the guidelines we have so far. We will periodically change these guidelines as we see fit. Thanks for reading!
