Hello artists!

I'm Otome, and I will be leading the art challenges from now on! I have led Art Challenges in the past, and I look forward to seeing everyone's amazing entries!

Since the school year is starting and some of us are getting a bit more busy, the Art Challenges will now be monthly rather than bi-weekly.

The theme of the 5th Art-Challenge, starting today, is:

Ice Cream Color Palettes

Yes, that is correct. Who says summer is over?! As long as the memories and mindset is there, summer is never over.

Guidelines
Draw your own character, background, or anything with an Ice Cream flavor color palette!
Example color palettes (shown in lower right corner of banner):
  • Napoleon Ice Cream
  • Mint Chocolate Chip
  • Raspberry Mango
Make sure to include your ice cream flavor when submitting your entry!

Deadline: October 8th, 2019

Rules
  • No tracing
  • Do not use other artists' art
  • This is an individual challenge, so no teams
  • Keep your submissions PG 13
  • Feel free to submit more than one entry or draw more than one character!

Have fun!

>>Used the raspberry mango palette for an eye shadow look !
Made a clown girl based on Cherry Garcia!

(Yes I've been listening to 'Other friends' on loop)
Here's a generic hot anime boy made from my own palette, Rainbow Sherbet!
I have no idea how to draw with palettes!

I really love color palette challenges!! Not sure if I should attribute that to my poor coloring abilities but they're really fun!
I had a lot of ideas, so I ended up with two drawings!
First one was mint chocolate chip:

I made do with what markers I had,,, They're really streaky and don't blend well but I still like the result!!

I also made one for Strawberry Ice cream:

This one definitely is in a more traditional otome style. The soft shading is probably the biggest difference from my normal style, but I think I did an ok job at it!

Sorry I'm sorta a day late!
