((aight so theres 3 worlds, the normal human world, the spirit world, which overlaps the human world, and theres the world of gods. earth has humans and animals, pretty much, but can also have familiars and fae+demons, which will be explained later. the spirit world has spirits, who are the ones that are meant to become gods, and whatever gods/fae/demons go there. theres also a few stray monsters running around, which would have given y/c some trouble until they were found by m/c. in the world of gods, thats where the stronger things are-- nearly all demons+fae, gods, dragons, and the Chimera (hes for later plot) and whatever spirits are brought there. spirits are fated to become gods, and become apprentices to gods to learn how to battle. a spirit becomes a god of a certain subject of their choosing once they beat a god in a battle, by making them retreat, surrender, or knocking them unconscious. if they kill the god, they become the god of whatever they controlled plus another subject, again of their choosing. gods become stronger the more things they control, but grow slightly more insane each one, until they hit 5 and just go completely crazy, and become a god of chaos. which is what Chimera is. also, the heirarchy for creatures is:
human
enhanced human (can see spirits and/or have a familiar)
earthly familiars (disguised normal animals)
arcane familiars (invisible to humans+animals, more fantysal, stronger magic, can bring their human to the spirit+god worlds)
monsters (creatures created by gods and strong demons/fae, located above them here but could be weaker than an enhanced human)
demons+fae (mostly humaniod creatures that live in the god world)
gods/goddesses (explained above) - on the same level, dragons, any nonhumanoid god/goddess
higher gods/goddesses (stronger gods that have pretty much taken a political seat)
scales (dragons of the four elements, which pretty much are the rulers of the world)
Chimera (most powerful dragon of chaos, currently sleeping)

((yes, yes, seems simple at first. "become a god" but little do you know i spent two days dying to create all the lore. and thats definitely not everything))
