Hello fellow simps (don't take it the wrong way I mean it in a loving way) I'm currently working on a visual novel called "Country Love Story." I've actually thought about this idea for a very long time and after discovering CloudNovel, I want to bring it to life. Before we get into the plot I just wanted to clarify some things:

I don't own anything in the game other than the story (fun fact: it was inspired by Stardew Valley)
The character art was done by a picrew artist Sangled  (Character Creator｜Picrew) They allowed non-commercial use and since I'm not getting any money or monetizing it on merch then I would be able to use it. (If I'm wrong about that please inform me and I'll gladly take it down cuz I don't want to anger anyone T-T) You can see the rest of the credits once the VN comes out.

Plot:
You play as Jesse (male or female) the child of a rich company owner. Jesse has lived a glamourous and spoiled life but they weren't ever happy. The only thing Jesse ever wanted was to have their father in their life but that couldn't happen since he died. But after inheriting his house in the countryside (seeing the Stardew Valley seeping through?) Jesse decides to move into it and away from the noisy city in order to discover themselves....and love! <3

That is pretty much it so far, but I do want to have little minigames and side plots. It's just a silly little slice of life story where you can woo all the farm folks. I'll probably post the love interests later but here's the first one you meet:



Melissa Taylor:
The kind and cute farm girl next door! Everyone loves her, right? It's not like she was a terrible person once, right? Is Melissa's little friendly act a lie or does she really want to become a better person? That's for you to find out ;)

That must have taken so long to write. I might post the rest of the love interest tomorrow
Also just tell me if coming off a little too strong right now (I just get really excited whenever someone shows at least a little bit of interest in my work)

Oh yes one more thing before I turn in for the night. I do not intend for Country Love Story to be R-18 or adult in any way. Trying to keep it Family Friendly here (also I'm under 18 so my parents would literally kill me) and that's just not the direction I want to take. I mean the literal title "Country Love Story" sounds like a toddler came up with it. Just wanted to clear that up if anyone was wondering (which to be honest you probably weren't) Anyway Goodnight (well it's nighttime where I'm from right now)

Hello, Queen of the Simps here (challenge me if you dare ;)

Just wanted to say that Country Love story will be coming out sometime next month (the demo is still pretty short but I will try to update every once and a while and I might even change a lot of things but that is not really what I want to do right now) In this post I want to show you and give you more info about the love interests. There are six love interests in total (three boys and three girls) I wanted to make them as diverse from each other as I possibly could (both personality wise and appearance wise) I'll only show the female candidates here and the male ones later



Melissa Taylor:
I've already mentioned her from the very first post, but I wanted to explain a few more things about her and what inspired me to make her. Melissa was originally going to be that stereotypical "girl next door" trope where the MC (usually male) falls in love with her because of her beauty, brains and hot body- I mean personality! But she was quite boring since that was her only personality trait so I decided to throw in a mysterious and not so ideal past (but you'll have to wait to find out ;) She was somewhat inspired by the character Donna from that 70s show that 70s show donna - Google Search. Their personalities aren't that similar but Donna (in my opinion) was so much more than the "girl next door" trope. This is post is getting really long but I'll make another one right after I submit this one  
 

Vivalda (Viv) Ivanov
Everyone in the countryside town is afraid of Vivalda. She was a mysterious Russian woman who is convinced that the little town will be attacked from outsiders and her main goal is set up a military. Her old home in Russia was in a war zones which probably explains her distrust in outsiders and being attacked. How did she get that scar? Why is she attached to that scarf? Only you can break down her tall walls...

Roxanne (Roxie) Montgomery:
Last but not least, we have Roxie. A chill girl whose dream is to become a world famous rockstar and travel the world (she likes purple, can you tell? XD) Although every time someone asks her when she will leave the countryside to pursue her rocker dreams, she always uses the excuse that her mother won't let her leave. Could she be lying?

That's all. They might go through some drastic changes but these are the main concepts

Thanks. Although I do have concerns regarding one of the love interests appearance (it's one of the male candidates that I will probably will post sometime. He is supposed to be older than the others and I kinda wanted him to give off "Daddy" vibes (do people even say Daddy anymore? XD) but that's sort of hard to do in the artstyle. I'm pretty much just venting now but when I release the male love interests I'll show you and see what you think. He is probably the character that will go through the most changes. Okay I'm done rambling :')

I've never played Fnaf before. I didn't even though there was an animatronic named Roxanne who also a rockstar. Freddy Faszbear is the only character I know. What a strange coincidence XD

Hello fellow simps. Your queen of simps has returned

I said that Country Love Story will come out next month but I pretty much only said that because I was nervous about publishing it. I will probably come out next week or sometimes around that time. Thank you all for staying around. The demo will not feature any love interests just yet and it's mostly just an introduction to Jesse (the MC) and an introduction to the story. Anyway that's just some stuff I wanted to talk about. Now on with the male love interests :)

 

Javier Abrigo:
Growing up, Javier was an inspiring artist who just wanted to share his work with the world. But he was always overshadowed by his older sister, Tia which made him a disappointment to his overbearing parents. He moved to the countryside in order to pursue his passion of the arts (but it was mostly to get away from his parents) Let's just say...he hasn't exactly achieved that dream just yet. But is there a reason why he is so passionate about the arts? What's holding him back from becoming the artist of his dreams? Can Jesse help him? ;)   

Akira Nakamura:
Shy, geeky and very, very into the whole goth aesthetic (let's just say he is the least gothic person you'll ever meet XD) Akira has lived his whole life in the countryside and he is pretty much okay with that. He is pretty content with his life...right? Where's his family? Why is he all alone and even though he's an introvert, why doesn't he want to get close to anyone? (lol I'm a sucker for asking questions XD)
