I'm currently stuck between this story line and Assassinations' story line.

Discrimsonation is something I've been working on for a little bit now.

Story

The world of Crea has 4 elements: Light, Darkness, Neutral, and Crimson. These elements have been helpful in making the world a better place, and only brings positivity to everyone since their creation.

Or so everyone thinks.

You are a Crimson specialist who has recently gotten expelled from every Crimson oriented school there is. Being the influence your mother is, she is able to get you to a mixed elemental school outside of the city. You are ready to finally see some changes in your life, until you meet the principal. He only has one rule for you:

"Never reveal your Crimson abilities."

You think nothing of it at first, because an elemental school requires elemental usage. Later, however, you learn that a group of Light, Darkness, and Neutral users have all attacked a Crimson city.

Gameplay

Your goal is to find the secrets behind the separation of Crimsons from other elementalists, while trying to live a normal life as a non-Crimson user. Since you are playing as a 16 year old high school student, many game mechanics will revolve around a high school student's life. Other will require you to use elemental abilities.

Relationships

Not only can you make friends, find love, or even impress teachers, many people won't be willing to pass up information to strangers. Having close relationships will get you far, considering you don't get too complacent.

Fights

The positive about being a Crimson user is the ability to use every other element. You can choose an element to hide amongst your classmates, and gain abilities based off the chosen element. The elements will have their own strong points, so you can choose the one that fits you best.

I'll go on to reveal the characters a little early if anyone shows interest in my project.
Huh. This has a lot of potential. I mean, it could be a really great game, or even a movie.

@FatedGenesi no problem. I'm really into the whole idea of alternate worlds where people have special abilities. With the right graphics and programming, this game could gain a decent fan base. The high school life aspect of this adds a relatable intrigue. And the dystopian-esque story that you are going with is sure to draw people in since it speaks to the fears we all have about the future. And everybody likes the option to developed relationships in a game. There should be multiple outcomes to top it all off,  to keep people playing to find out more.

@SuberbanWitch999 Wow, are you into Game Design? This is informative.

Alternate worlds with special abilities are my obsession. I literally study them in my free time.

The high school one definitely surprised me at first, since I expected to go with adults. Although I did realize how many teens actually play VNs, so relatability was a deciding factor.

Dystopias are weirdly fun to write. It gives the characters some more struggles to help readers relate to. Also, after 2020s mess, I'm sure many people somewhat fear for the future now.

Now that I think about it, I've never played a visual novel without a relationship mechanic.

Multiple outcomes are my necessity lol. Even if they're only the endings, I love games where I can keep getting different results from different runs.

Thanks for sharing your opinions.
