Music and Sound effects

In this tutorial we will show you how to add music and sound effects to your visual novel. Go to your visual novel project library, and click on the sounds tab to go to your sounds. Click on add a sound. A form will appear. Fill out the form with a name and the source/URL link of your sound: Name - name of sound.
Source - source or URL link of the sound.

How do you retrieve the URL/source of an audio file?

Different browsers have different methods of finding the source URL of an audio. First, make sure to upload your audio file onto a sound hosting site. Once it is uploaded, find and copy the URL of the audio(you can do this by right clicking on the audio):

Chrome: Firefox: Internet Explorer: Safari currently does not have a way to retrieve the audio URL directly from the audio file. Until we find another way to get audio, please use Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.

*Your audio URL should end with .mp3, .wav, .ogg or other audio/sound extension file. If your audio URL does not end with the file/audio extension, most likely that URL will not work.

Once you have copied the URL/source, paste it in source. You may also preview your sound to make sure the audio is playing correctly. Once you are done, click add asset. Now your sound is added to your visual novel! To edit your sound, click on the sound asset to open your sound. Volume - This number represents the default volume of your sound. Set it to 0.5 for it to be half as loud as the original volume, and 2 for it to be twice as loud as the original volume.

Congratulations, you have added a sound to your visual novel! Continue onto the next tutorial to learn how to add buttons.
