This is NOT where you add characters for your game, this is for submitting free to use character art for other game creators to share their artwork with the community in the public resources gallery.

Collaborating Easily with CloudAvatar

Did you know you can do an online collaboration so easily with CloudNovel? This feature will definitely help you connect with your friends while making awesome games together!

Preparation

There are only two things you need to make this collaboration happen.

❏ Collaborator's Username

Your collaborator needs to have an account on CloudNovel. If they haven't signed up, they can easily sign up today. We have provided a tutorial to sign up if they ever need help.

You can get your collaborator's name from their profile. Just copy it!

❏ Your Project

Obviously, you are going to need a project that you want to collaborate on. If you haven't created one, there is documentation right for you! Click here to read it.

Adding a User to Your Project

Once you have two things you need in the above list, you are completely ready to start your journey in co-op mode.

Open your project's setting.

If you are navigating from the dashboard, you can click the gear to open the settings.

If you are already inside your project, you can go ahead and click the Settings tab.
Scroll down until you see the Collaborators section.
Paste the username in the input box. Click Add User.
The user will now be listed on the right side as a collaborator.
Give access to your collaborator by enabling the permission. Unchecked boxes mean they are restricted from entering that workspace so you may control their access here.

Don't worry, even if you gave collaborator access to the Settings, only the project owner can change the collaborator's permission.
Scroll up and save the settings.

Removing a User from Your Project

What if you accidentally added the wrong username to your project and want to remove them? Don't worry, it's very simple.

Look for the collaborator section in the project's settings.
Simply click the red X button to remove a user from your project.

Approving a Collaboration

When someone adds you to their project for a collaboration, you'll be given a notification and it will appear on your dashboard.

By default, you do not have to approve a collaboration to start working together. BUT, if you want the project to appear on your profile, you will need to approve it first. It is very easy.

Open your dashboard by clicking Dashboard on the top navigation bar.
Choose the Dress Up Games.
Click on the Collaborating.
Find the collaborated project and hover on the project. Several more options will appear.
Click on the checked mark icon to approve the project.
It shall appear on your public profile now.

Leaving a Collaboration

You may join a collaboration temporarily or you may be in a situation where another user adds you to a project by accident, didn't realize it and you need to leave the project.

This is very simple to do. Just follow the instruction below.

Open your dashboard by clicking Dashboard on the top navigation bar.
Choose the Dress Up Games.
Click on the Collaborating.
Find the collaborated project and hover on the project. Several more options will appear.
Click on the Leave Collaboration icon to leave the project.
You should now be free from the project.
