Hello! My name is Mirror and I'm new here. I'm working on a little game for my friends and I decided to start it out here in CloudNovel (cause I'm no programmer and my art skills is meh > >) And the reason I'm opening this thread, is well, exactly that, I'm not a programmer and I'm new at this, and I'm having trouble making GUI's

I can probably solve that by just taking references from the internet and redrawing or tracing over some of them and editing them, I'll think about it... Eventually q-q

Now, let's dive into the idea which what people go here for anyway owo

The Concept/Story

Okay, so SPOILER WARNING from here on out. If you guys are interested in playing it once it's finished (hopefully TT n TT), I suggest you don't click on the spoilers cause, well this game has Mystery/Horror elements in it.

Are we good?

So basically, the idea is that the MC/Player is a game tester for a game developing company who is developing a hyperrealistic Dating Sim that is borderline a Virtual Reality Reality (as it is later revealed the LI's are generated A.Is and a bunch of people are being used as their husks essentially) and as a tester, the MC is tasked to complete the game by obtaining all available Endings (there are secret Endings once you complete the available ones and by obtaining them you can now play the Secret Routes.)
You are tasked to see the game through to the very end and determine bugs and along the way, you will discover some of them, like strange behaviors of the Characters and such. Essentially you will have to discover what is going on exactly as the game crumbles before you.

MEGA SPOILERS AHEAD

Later, as you complete your tasks, you discover that the game you're in is part of a scientific project to develop a hyperrealistic Virtual World, completely independent from our reality. The LIs in the game are kidnapped people that had involuntarily transferred their consciousness into the Core, the game, and is now being controlled by it to play exaggerated stereotypical roles of a Dating Sim. But the main goal of the project is to make a perfect simulation of reality that no one can tell them apart, to make a perfect world, where everyone is happy, safe, and loved. A heaven of sorts, that is why I'm probably gonna title it Project Eden or Nirvana.
It is up to you if you want to stay and be with the LIs or leave and shut down the project, leaving all the trapped souls/minds inside.

A tidbit of funny meta idea is that I'll title it "The Demo" while its also just a Demo essentially (a creative genius IK XD). Cause hopefully in the future, when I'm more capable, I can make a complete version of it.

Oh and by the way, another info you guys must know is that the characters are based on my friends aaaand one of the LI's is me... well my avatar but yeah, it's a cursed meta-joke in our group ^^; (we're a bunch of roleplayers and we do a bunch of AUs)

I could really use a hand for creating this game, so I'm looking for a co-developer owo. I have no background in game development or the like, I'm just a wannabe artist who has a lot of time in my hands during this pandemic. But if you count playing countless Otome Games, VNs, and Dating Sims as an experience then that's all I have XD

It's sadly not a paid commission or collaboration since it's a free game but it'll be a good portfolio game for both of us, I hope qvq

I'm currently working on the GUI's and the Sprites, and honestly, I work very slowly > > but I can definitely make the sprites and even the CG's. Currently, I'm only making the concepts for each character like you've seen above. (and I still have a long way to go > >) What I did so far is just figuring out the plot and the limitations of the site and tbh its a bit confusing sometimes but I can't complain either since I can't program in Unity or other game developing Engine (tho I'm contemplating on doing that in the future)
