Created new topic Outdated Mailing Address in the Support forum: Hello, I've recently changed my email address in my account settings. CloudNovel newsletters are still being sent to the original email I used to sign up for an account and not my updated one, although the latter is what shows up in the email address field when I visit my account settings page.

This change occurred near the beginning of this month (3rd January, I think?). Is it possible to update my mailing address to the email that is currently shown in my settings?

Posted a new reply in How do I change the position of my button? in the Support forum: @SpiderCookie You can change this in the animation timeline (accessed by a blue film-reel icon) of the page you want to have your button(s). There should be a list of assets on the left of the screen. If you click the 'Select' text attached to the button asset you want reposition, you should be able to see a list of animations and commands. The animation/command type where you can change its position is 'Show Button'.

After you have added the 'Show Button' command, you'll see there are four fields you can edit: 'Duration', 'Delay', 'Value' and 'Vertical Value'. The last two are the ones that relate to the button's positioning on the play screen.
Value changes the horizontal position (x-axis) of your button.
Vertical Value changes the vertical position (y-axis) of your button.
You have the option of typing the value, moving the slider, or using the presets. Just so you can see your changes on the screen right away, I usually move the slider around first so there's a clearer idea of its position without saving, exiting and entering back into the command settings each time you need to change the value.

You can change the command settings anytime by looking to the 'Selected Asset' (your button) column on the left side of the screen, which has a list of commands you've assigned to your asset.

Posted a new reply in How Do You Know about Visual Novel? in the General forum: Visual novels will probably continue to open a lot of creative and technical opportunities, especially with (generally) increased worldwide interest. As an interesting statistic, the top five rising topics and queries that were googled across the globe (shown in the image below) are all labelled 'Breakout'. That means their search frequency is over fifty times as compared to as it was in the previous month.

For me, I'd first heard of the term 'visual novel' when I was searching for game-maker engines. Unity, UDK, Godot, RPG Maker MV and stuff like that. Then I found VN Maker. When scrolling down the website, I discovered I'd already seen the visual-novel-type format - in action-fantasy RPGs I played when I was younger.

If you count RPGs with visual novel features as a visual novel, my first was one published by Com2uS. If not, then it would be Errant Heart, which was developed by Pseudomé. After that was Skights on CloudNovel. Both were played in February 2018. Those two are my most highly-recommended visual novels to date. From the small number of visual novels I've played, anyway.

Posted a new reply in Blue Threads in the Writer Corner forum: The top post has been updated with the first chapter (chapter 0).

This one is different from the other chapters in the book. It's shorter and generally has slower pacing. That's because it has the big clues for the mystery. Look for the small details and maybe you can solve the mystery before the main characters do. If they solve it. Muahaha.

Is this foreshadowing?

If you were wondering what Demian was doing to Candice, he's anointing her as the new Simba.
(I... forgot how to draw. Please excuse me rushing to join on the last day.)
