Posted a new reply in Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: @Sonya I understand what you're saying and will go back and check over everything to make sure it's good.

Thanks for the free points and all your help!

Posted a new reply in Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: Hey @Sonya The copied scenes is definitely by design as they are meant to be similar. I thought the old links thing may have been the issue too, but that certainly wasn't the case as of my last correspondence with @DAX.

For example, the scene in question, Truth or Dare 4 - Shane. It was linked inside of the scene and branched to Enough - Shane. Yet on the PC version, going to Butcher Bruce - Ruthie. However, today, all of a sudden, when I check inside the scene Truth or Dare 4 - Shane online, it's suddenly not linked to any scene at all (None). I don't know if something changed within the last couple days or what, but it wasn't like that before. I checked dozens of times before and during my recent posts made here in the forum, just to make sure I didn't look like a total idiot.

To my understanding, there are only two places that scenes connect: the branching feature alongside the scene management tree, and the "Go to scene on end" section at the bottom of the "Edit Page Dialogue" box inside the scene. If there's somewhere else I should be checking, please let me know.

I guess I'm gonna have to go back over this yet again, but as of today, it was only the one scene I specified going to the wrong scene. Did you see more than one problem area? If you can identify them, that would be very helpful.

Having worked on this project tirelessly and invested a lot of resources into it already, I just don't wanna have to keep paying to download this thing over flukey issues that weren't there before, if that is the case. It's very confusing because everything will look fine when I preview the whole game online, yet I've seen all these problems show up after I pay to download what would essentially be the final product I'm trying to share with others.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from and that I'm not trying to be difficult. Just very frustrated at this point.

Thanks for your help.

Posted a new reply in Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: @DAX okay, cool. Just wanted to be sure. Like I said, that one literally just cropped up while I was typing my message to you the other day, so maybe it was just some one-off fluke. Once we figure out the issue with the scene branching, I can finally be done with this project and move on to the next. I'll be checking daily for your response.

Thanks for your time!

Posted a new reply in Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: @DAX So to be clear, are you saying the stopping in the middle of the scene didn't happen to you? If so, that's a relief as it could've just been related to running two resource-hungry apps both on and offline at the same time. Hopefully that is the case.

The Truth or Dare is certainly the biggest issue that I've been dealing with for weeks now and caused me to have to download the game multiple times. I'm at least glad to know that I'm not totally crazy and it is showing up on your end. I appreciate your help and will be on the lookout for the fix.

Posted a new reply in Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: @DAX correction on the new issue. It's Truth or Dare - Start - Shane that's stopping in the middle of the scene. According to the online version, the problem occurs at Page 51. The music is playing. The cursor is still blinking, but beyond that, the scene won't progress. Like I said, this was not an issue until today, and I downloaded this fifth version of my VN several days ago.

Posted a new reply in Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: @DAX lol. No problem. I wanted to be sure you'd be willing to look into it for me before I went pouring my heart out. Okay, first thing's first, here's the link to my VN Sorry That You're Dead:

https://cloudnovel.net/project/visualnovel/map/1aXrTNZhPoUTnNqAWw

When I made this post yesterday, the issue I referenced concerned Truth or Dare 4 - Shane. There are four Truth or Dare - Shane scenes, all are branched to Enough - Shane, both in the scene and page management consoles. However, on my PC, number 4 is going to Butcher Bruce - Ruthie, which is all the way on the other side of my link tree and branched to two different scenes.

I've also identified new problems as I check the PC version for reference in this post today. These issues weren't there previously. Truth or Dare 3 - Shane, for example, stops halfway during the scene. It just won't advance at a certain point no matter how many times I click, though the game itself hasn't crashed as I can still go back and load different scenes. Also, the scene Twisted - Shane, which is branched to Truth or Dare Start - Shane, is suddenly going to Truth or Dare 3 - Shane. Furthermore, the latter scene is all black. None of my images show up. Just text. This was never a problem before.

I'm not sure if this is happening because I have the PC copy open while I have Cloud Novel running in my browser typing this post, but it's like these issues just literally cropped up out of nowhere.  Very strange.

So that's where I'm at now. SO very close to being done with this, but there always seems to be technical issues that stop me from getting to the finish line. I hope I have provided you with enough information to troubleshoot this on your end and appreciate your help.

Created new topic Scene Branching Problems Offline in the Support forum: Hi @DAX

I'm reaching out because I really don't know what else to do at this point. I have now paid for several downloads of my current VN because I have to keep fixing scene branching problems that are non-existent in the preview I view online, where everything plays just fine, but show up in the version I download to my PC. It's very frustrating to say the least. If I identify where the problem is on my PC, along with the scenes and where they should be branched, do you think you would be able to look at it from your end and possibly help me find what the problem is? I just don't wanna have to keep paying to download this over and over and not making any process.

Thanks for your time.

Created new topic Audio Loops in the Support forum: Hello,

Almost done, so hopefully this is the last time I bother you guys. Audio loops. When I enable a loop in the Animations and Commands section, do I have to adjust the duration or value? I ask because as is, they don't always play all the way through. I would think they'd keep playing until you command it to stop, but that doesn't appear to be the case, in my case.

Posted a new reply in Default Save and Load Slot Customization in the Support forum: @DAX ohh okay. I was trying to follow Sonya's video on making custom slots, but I wasn't seeing the same thing on my screen as hers. I guess that's because I'm still using the free version. Looks like that explains everything. Thanks!
